Sacramental Preparation Team

The Sacramental Preparation Team helps prepare children for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.  Team members serve with our Sacramental Coordinator to plan and lead preparation meetings and to organize the celebration of these sacraments.

Baptism Preparation Team

This is a shared ministry, where team members meet with parents and godparents to help them better understand the meaning of and the rite of Baptism.  The coordinator serves with the parish priests in baptismal preparation sessions and in the baptismal celebrations.

Wedding Coordinators

The wedding coordinators share in a festive day and function in a dynamic liturgical environment to coordinate many different facets of a wedding celebration; they accommodate any special requirements from the Priest and/or couple and help with the rehearsal before the wedding.

Rite of Christian Initiation Adapted for  Children (RCIA)

This ministry assists children of catechetical age (age 7 to 14) who have never been baptized (or who were baptized in another Christian tradition)  OR are seeking to complete the sacraments of initiation.  The RCIC follows the catechetical formation of the Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), adapted for children

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

These ministry assists adults (age 15 and older) who have never been baptized (or who were baptized in another Christian tradition)  OR are seeking to complete the sacraments of initiation.  It is a most important ministry since it assists others in coming into full communion with the Catholic Church, whereby they may achieve their salvation.  The RCIA team always needs volunteers, primarily sponsors (a trusted friend who can share their own faith journey and help bring others to Christ)  and catechists (those who allow God to use them to open the minds and hearts of participants) but many others as well.

Baptism

The Baptism preparation is held every third Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at St. Anthony's church in the Foyer.  The Baptism celebration is done within all the weekend masses at St. Anthony and St. Agnes.  No Baptism during Advent and Lent.   Please call at the parish office at 780-432-0611 for more information.
